The Kanneliya RainForest has many beautiful sight in the southern province of Sir Lanka .It situated in 5306 hectares. There were natural waterfalls,endamic plant and animal species. Designated as a biosphere reserve in 2014 by UNESCO.

                             Frist visit the Forest Department building house. The forest receive annual temperature of 20 °C .Many ancient taxonomic groups of Gondwana are present in these rain forest . There are main rivers "Gin Ganga " and "Nilwala Ganga" .





The Kanneliya Forest reserve has number of endemic plants .41 spices are this forest area. Kanneliya has 17 percent of lowland endemic floral species confined to this forest area. also has total over 220 known species of fauna mamal ,snacks,fish.

 The Anagimale Falls is an more attraction place in the forest.The Anagimale Falls is the easiest to reach just 2 km from the gate on a board trail.

In the forest area, they also provide traditional meal in the cafeteria to visitors.
