Child Labour

Child labour is the act of a employing and engaging children in the economic activities . child labour is a big issues in the country economic activities like in the explorative industry,illegal business. In Sri  Lanka the law defines children as the below the age 18 years. This years children must attend school.
       Sri Lanka has undertaken many positive steps toward the education child labours .Elimination of child labour in Sri Lanka 2017 mooted by the labour Ministry notes that as the use,procuring or offering of a child for prostitution.
       Key factor are,lack of awareness, poor family and not parent safty  development ,lack of support catch up educational facilities.
        Sri Lankan legal mechanism has sufficient legislation for the eradication of child engagement in hazardous as well as other from labour. The employment women young persons and children ACT No 47  of 1956 (EWYPCA) drctly addressed and regulates the issues of child labour. Further more, the country has network of government institutions .vested with the responsibility of the protection of it is future generation while the National child protection Authority.
       However serious issues exist with regard to the gap between 14 years old and 18years,during which many children are either trafficked or enter the hazardous labour sector the effects of which can be harmful to their health morals safety. There fore elders must attention this labour children. people can inform suitable sector like child protection Authority and help this children in the society.
